Overcomers

The Overcomers batch holds a special place in our history as the team that stepped up right when we needed them.

After COVID-19 forced our programs into a months-long hiatus, this group led the charge to bring the Equal Playing Field for Schools (EPF4S) program back to life in Port Moresby.

Their journey began with a major milestone at New Erima Primary School. For the first time ever, our team set up an 8-week program there to teach students about respectful relationships and gender equality. It was a proud moment for The Overcomers, marking their very first time out in the field as facilitators.

Living up to their name, this batch proved that even after a global pandemic, the mission to empower young people doesn't stop. They didn't just return to schools; they brought a new energy and hope to the students of New Erima, showing everyone what it means to overcome challenges and keep moving forward.
