Helen Konobo

Helen O’ori Konobo is a seasoned Gender Specialist with a wealth of experience in project management, monitoring, evaluation, and gender assessments. With over fifteen (15) years in PNG collaborating with esteemed donor partners such as DFAT, ADB, EU, and USAID, Helen has cultivated a deep understanding and expertise in her field.

In her current role as a Gender Specialist at USAID PNG Electrification Partnerships through Santos Foundation, Helen leads the implementation of the Gender Action Plan (GAP). Her responsibilities include active involvement in community consultation and gender engagement planning. She establishes strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including PNG Power Limited, National Energy Authority, Provincial Administrations, LLG officials, and civil society organizations in selected provinces, aligning with PEP’s operational locations.

Throughout her career, Helen has demonstrated a remarkable ability to review and develop Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) policies and strategies, ensuring their seamless integration into M&E plans and reporting mechanisms.
